Import medical equipment is main reason of seeing a doctor expensively
CPPCC national committee groups is discussing, health vice minister, director of the state administration of traditional Chinese medicine WangGuoJiang said, seeing a doctor expensively is two aspects of prices high and the inspection fee. At present, basic drug system has been implemented but many medical examination equipments such as medical x-ray machine are still exported, so result in problems of excessive treatment and become the main reason of seeing a doctor expensively. He advised that science and technology department should focus on the research project of Chinese medical equipment.
Experts say, import major instruments and equipment has occupied the domestic medical market, the localization rate of medical instruments is very low. Although has implemented basic drug system to reduce drug price but it is not comprehensive to attribute the whole reason to seeing a doctor expensively.
Product domestic high-grade equipment is imminent, experts advise that ministry of science and technology can organize persons to develop these instruments and equipment, include digital radiography.
To this, some members have responded in the meeting, the ministry of science and technology had determined the major projects of related large medical equipment in the end of "eleventh five-year plan" and begin in "twelve five-year plan".
